About Us

History

Centenary Nannies was founded in 2007, to serve the families of Brisbane in response to a need in the market for professional child care workers, whom have exceptional knowledge and a genuine desire to work with children. 2008 Centenary Nannies had a desire to help the families of rural and regional areas, not only city families. A new office has opened in the Alpine Region of Victoria with its first office having opened in Bright.

kristybackKristy Aitken is the Founder and Director of Centenary Nannies. She has worked in child care centres and as a Nanny throughout Brisbane for eight years. From this, she has realised there is a gap in the market, as a result has established Centenary Nannies in an effort to help the families of Brisbane. She also has her certificate 3, which has been recognised by two reputable Colleges and is now studying her diploma in early child care. Kristy now hopes to utilize her experiences in child care, with the specific purpose of helping families in Brisbane, to find the right Nanny to suit their needs.

Kristy is now a mother herself as she gave birth to her first child Ava on April 17 2008. Now that Kristy is a mother herself now, she can certainly understand families needing home help and acknowledges the reasons families need professional nannies.

Laura Patience

Centenary Nannies welcomes Laura into the office as of October 2008. Laura has a little boy, 7, and is due to have her 2nd baby in June 2010. Laura has also worked as a nanny herself. Not only has she been a nanny but she also had her own family day care. Given that Laura is a mother herself and has worked in a family day care and nanny environment, Laura can see the need to help everyone and will do her utmost to do this. Laura will be the manager of the new Bright office in Victoria.
