Sweet popcorn magic – three fun flavours for all the family to enjoy!
I love popcorn, and although it is not something our family eats often, when we do decide to indulge we always want to do it well! There are countless variations of toppings you can add to popcorn and it really depends on whether you are a sweet or savoury (or both!) family. I am a sweet girl (inside and out!), so I always go for one of the following gourmet sweet popcorn flavours, which are by no means diet friendly! For my savoury lovers out there, don’t worry, I have put up my top three savoury flavours in another post!
Cookies and Cream
Warm 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over medium heat; drizzle over 12 cups hot popcorn. Toss with 4 cups lightly crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreos).
Drizzle 6 tablespoons melted butter over 12 cups hot popcorn; toss with 4 cups cinnamon cereal (such as Cinnamon Toast Crunch), 1/3 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon and 1 teaspoon salt.
Whisk 5 tablespoons melted butter with 2 teaspoons each vanilla extract and salt; drizzle over 16 cups hot popcorn. Toss with 2 cups each mini marshmallows, chocolate chips and toasted pecans. Spread on baking sheets and bake at 200 degrees celsius until the marshmallows and chocolate are slightly melted, about 2 minutes.
