Bolognese Lasagne | Centenary Nannies and Babysitters

Bolognese Lasagne is a family favourite. It’s tasty, easy to make and is always a hit with the kids.



  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 500g Beef Mince
  • 1/4 cup Pizza Sauce
  • 500g jar Bolognese Pasta Sauce
  • 400g fresh ricotta
  • 2 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley, chopped
  • 1 large egg, lightly whisked
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 2 1/2 cups grated mozzarella
  • 250g fresh lasagne sheets



Step 1  Heat oil in a saucepan over high heat. Add the mince and cook, stirring, for 5 mins or until mince changes colour.

Step 2  Reduce heat to medium. Add Pizza Sauce, Pasta Sauce and 1 cup water. Season. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 mins.

Step 3  Meanwhile, combine ricotta, parsley, egg, parmesan and ½ cup mozzarella in a large bowl.

Step 4  Preheat oven to 180C. Place a small amount of meat sauce in the base of a lasagne dish. Cover with a single layer of lasagne sheets. Top with half the meat sauce, ? cup of the mozzarella, a layer of remaining lasagne sheets, the ricotta mixture and remaining lasagne sheets. Finish with remaining meat sauce and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.

Step 5  Bake for 25-30 mins or until mozzarella is bubbling and golden. Stand for 10 mins before serving.
