Make reading fun

Make a reading space at home! It doesn’t have to be big or expensive! Perhaps sew some old kids duvet covers together or source a quilt from an op-shop! Collect some pillows, favorite toys and books and make it a fun place to retreat and read a book in.

Use puppets during reading! Not only is this fun and hilarious but it is a great way to get those creative juices running. Perhaps make your own puppets! I am certain there would be a class out there or lots of different online videos that show how to do this. I love to make what I term the old-fashioned sock puppet puppets out of socks and old buttons! It is unbelievable how funny this can be especially when you add a different voice to the mix!
