Music lessons for children | Centenary Nannies & Babysitters

Children’s music lessons are a great weekly activity. As a former nanny I wanted to ensure I took the children to activities that were fun, educational and stimulating. I came across Wee Make Music when I was a nanny for a family in Bulimba and never looked back. From singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, storytelling, imaginative play, rhymes and cuddles – there’s something for every child in every lesson. I discovered that music is a great way for children to express themselves and build their confidence. It is perfect for their general development and has many benefits.

Benefits of music lessons include:

  • Music knowledge and appreciation
  • Language development
  • Self esteemmusic lessons
  • Confidence
  • Teamwork
  • Coordination
  • Cooperation
  • Creativity
  • Fine motor skill development
  • Parent/child bonding
  • Socialisation
  • Classroom etiquette
  • Listening and following instructions
  • Memory skills
  • Individual and family enjoyment

I was so impressed by the classes that I have taken four children from three different families to Wee Make Music. It was something that both the children and I looked forward to every week and became our weekly highlight. What’s great is we would take what we learnt during the class home to show mum and dad. We would also sing along in the car to the take home CD available to purchase.

Wee Make music has three studios; Bulimba, New Farm and Wilston. It caters for infants, toddlers and young children. I would highly recommend the classes. For more information please visit
